Lake Manyara National Park is the one of protected area in Tanzania-by-Tanzania National Park Authority covering the area of 325 km2. Lake Manyara National Park is situated between Lake Manyara (230 km2) and Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara National Park is located in the South West of Arusha, driving from Arusha to Babati the capital city of Manyara region in which the airport is nearby Tarangire National Park to the South-West. In the Eastern part of Lake Manyara National Park is the Kwa Kuchinja wildlife Migration corridor allowing wildlife animals migrations between Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park.

Lake Manyara National Park is comprising of Lake Manyara within it taking of the area of (230 km2) also called alkaline lake of Manyara formed in the depression in the Great River Valley system, its surface elevation is 600 m2, maximum depth is 3.7 m (12 ft), Maximum length: 40 km (25 mi), located in Makuyuni District.
Lake Manyara comprises different features such as Hippopotamus pool and two hot springs at the north of Lake Manyara near the crater of the lake. On the western shore of Lake Manyara there is a hot spring called Maji Moto Hot Spring. This 60°C geothermal feature is formed by groundwater flowing through hot volcanic magma rock from the Great Rift Valley.
Vegetation; Lake Manyara National Park is comprising of over 700 species of plants and flowers including quinin trees and many others. Woodlands on the Western shore of the lake dominated by acacia and Commiphora. Extensive swamps have formed where the Simba River and its tributaries enter the north end of the lake also, grasslands are dominated by Cynodon dactylon.
Birds; Lake Manyara National Park conquered of about over 400 bird species counted of more than 2,500,000 birds. Lake Manyara National Park is famous of high count of flamingos, and many others.
Mammals;The high number of animals found in Lake Manyara National Park include Herbivores like zebras, elephants, Wildebeasts, Thomson’s gazelle, Grant’s Gazelle, bushbuck, waterbuck, impala, Cape buffalo, giraffe, hippopotamus, baboon, warthog, elephants. Predators like lions, leopards, African wild cat, spotted hyenas, black-backed jackal, bat-eared fox, serval, honey badger, African Civet, Cheetah and Africa Golden Cat.

GAME DRIVES
In Lake Manyara National Park the game drive can take place during the Morning (recommended), afternoon and night. In the morning it is the best for game drive due to the high level of visibility of animals like tree-climbing lions, and all major predators. During Afternoon you will be able to walk around savannah plains in search of wildlife like elephants, giraffe, hippopotamus around Lake Manyara and many others. During night you will be escorted by the armed ranger due to the best time of predators to chase for their prey. This is done with an escort of armed ranger.
